The spatial planning and circulation embraces modern work-life flexibility and was conceptulised to be in sync with the adjoining Factory Plant look. The client’s manufacturing unit specialized in Laser Cutting for their product range therefore the elements in Laser Cutting were expressed to showcase the technology in the interiors. Transition between the cubicles and the work space is accentuated with full height lacquered writable wall facilitating informal discussions. A palette of grey tones for flooring, wall and ceilings was proposed to be in harmony with being a part of an Industrial Plant. Engraving on varied material palette was explored to express the client’s vision statement and technology along with low height partitions and MD Back Wall which were graphic designed in Lazer Cut. The overall colour scheme adopted is neutral with white elements, woodwork, grey hues in contrast with colourful seating and lighting. Wooden table tops, lacquered glass walls, modular workstations, graphics on Corian, Italian designer seating, Scandinavian look partitions and open ceilings were other elements fused together to create a harmonious composition. A Mandir featured at the entrance becames a gathering space during festivals. It is conceived as a fusion of a contextual industrial palette and traditional materials inventory used in Temples. Mandir structure was designed in metal, glass and stone to fuse contemporary and traditional with each element relating to the other in terms of the concepts of colour, dressing and outlook. The tangible components in design such as flooring, roofing, screens and Deity Sthapna are complimented to elevate the intangible through details, Indian graphics/ patterns and colours identified with trueness of materials proposed.
