Situated along Delhi-Agra National Highway No.2, this design demonstrates the use of geometry in planning and massing, which creates different environments according to the well-defined user group within the school premises. The structure is entered through a primary access adjoining the Administrative Wing that leads us to the Lobby which is a part of the circular building envelope. The circular form is derived as an Academic Block for the Primary Section in order to get wedge shaped individual class rooms which allows for better focus, monitoring and interaction with this age group of children. The Primary Section is further centred with an academic courtyard designed for multi-purpose activities - the ‘circular’ shape of the court achieves the objective to enhance the feeling of security, containment and psychological comfort within the younger children. Secondary Section of the school is marked with an interconnected rectangular amphitheatre court surrounded with classrooms, central library, laboratories, staircases and secondary accesses to the building. Performance Stage for the entire school is strategically planned on the rear of the building façade giving relief and overlooking the playground. This was done to achieve a well-defined internal access to the students for practice sessions with support facilities within the building and having the attendees/ visitors entering thought the external landscaped courts/ pathways with the purpose of having a clear segregation in circulation. The overall form and elevational treatment is frolicsome and rhythmic that reflects the character of the students, both in Primary and Secondary Sections, allowing free flow of circulation thus ideas in order to enhance learning, creativity and innovation.
