Designed for the Uttarakhand Board of Technical Education, this Institute for Research, Development and Training is an example of design that evolves around the functional aspect and a program which is oriented towards making the building structure which responds to the user perspective with strong sense of association. The shape/ form of the building is inspired by the Himalayan mountain range around the site and therefore symbolically making it context responsive. Facilities such as research centres, incubation centres, seminar halls, training centres, academic and administration blocks are provided as part of the internal planning which are interspersed by intermediate green courts along with the circulation in order to act as common interactive spaces for the users.
