The prominent location of this check post marks the entry to the state well known for it's Himalayan range, in essence Uttarakhand. The idea of triangular shaped structures with sloping roofs is to symbolically depict and glorify the beauty of the mountain ranges of the state. Inaugurated by the Chief Minister, the design program consists of inspection rooms, offices and provision of rest rooms for the officials of five prominent departments which need operations 24x7 at the state border. The structure is fronted with a waiting area and hint of landscape around it which adds much more grace to the design.
