A headquarters complex for the Commercial Trade Tax Department for the State of Uttarakhand is located at the Ring Road, Dehradun. The plan is symmetric on the longer axis and is detailed out according to the requirements along with clustering of functional spaces. With typical floor plates on all the floors, this structure's foremost elevation is a semi-circular façade cladded with exposed brick work and distinctive glass shafts with protruding balconies of Commissioner’s and IG's offices. The offices are designed to be flexible and efficient with larger openings providing daylight and beautiful views. Recessed windows and projecting walls make it highly resistant to harsh summer sunlight received throughout the day. The project exemplifies for strengthening civic and economic growth of the State.
